September = Hurricane Ike

October 18, 2008 · 1 Comment

If anyone was wondering what happened to me — I can say I know what it is like to go through a bad Hurricane.  Actually, I slept through the storm that night as it came ashore to Houston, the center of the storm actually came just about 8 miles east of my condo, where it hit downtown pretty hard.  I had been preparing my attorneys for an out of town trial and had worked the previous 21 days straight in a row, even Labor Day.  They gave us off that Friday to board up our houses for Hurricane Ike.  Like I said, I slept all day and all night and didn’t even know it happened until of course I woke up without power.  I was lucky, my power came back within 36 hours.  Everyone else in Houston and Galveston had it much worse.  I have several friends that lost their homes.

August ALSP Webinar

October 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

August was a mad rush to get the ALSP Webinar finished.  I had a great time writing my half of the co-presentation on the Enterprise 2.0 and the Storage Communication Act.  My co-presenter was Pam Quinterro with KPMG’s Vancouver office.  Pam went first with a presentation on forensics.  Overall, I think the webinar was well received and we had a great time doing it.  If you would like to listen, go to www.alsponline.org.  Go to the archives and it was recorded on August 20, 2008.
